Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) is gathering public feedback on its
- Draft Student Registration and Admissions Policy; and
- Draft Parent Engagement Policy
The Draft Student Registration and Admissions Policy recognizes that every student has the right to attend a school where they are a qualified resident pupil as defined in the Education Act.

The Draft Parent Engagement Policy speaks to contributing to student achievement and well-being by fostering high levels of parent participation, involvement and engagement, as well as engaging in collaboration between the home and the school. This policy also addresses how HWDSB works with parents who are separated or divorced.
